My name is Sofia Alvarez, and I cover markets, NFTs, and real-world adoption of crypto. I was born in Madrid and grew up between Spain and the United States, later studying International Business and Marketing at ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
I began my career in digital marketing for tech startups, running performance campaigns and social media strategies. In 2019, while working with a gaming company, I learned about NFTs and in-game economies, and that completely changed the way I saw digital ownership. Since then, I’ve managed communities for Web3 projects, produced content for NFT platforms, and consulted brands on how to enter the crypto space without just “dropping a collection and disappearing.”
My strengths are market storytelling, user behavior, and culture. I focus on how price action connects with narratives, sentiment, and real users: where capital flows, what communities are building, and how mainstream brands are experimenting with tokens, NFTs, and on-chain loyalty. I pay close attention to gaming, digital art, creator economies, and how crypto is adopted in emerging markets.
In my articles, I try to balance hard data with human stories. You’ll see charts, but you’ll also see interviews, case studies, and on-the-ground perspectives from founders, artists, traders, and everyday users. I’m especially interested in how crypto can expand financial access and creative freedom, not just speculation.
When I’m offline, you’ll probably find me at an art gallery, a music festival, or in a café with my laptop, jumping between Madrid, Lisbon, and Latin America. If you care about where crypto meets culture, brands, and real people, my section is for you.
